Martial Arts Exchange Committee of CCFPA Continue to Advance
Following the establishment of the Martial Arts Exchange Committee of China-Cyprus Friendship Promotion Association, the Committee is gradually carrying out various martial arts exchange activities, committed to building an open and inclusive international martial arts exchange platform.
Through this platform, the Committee hopes to enable people from different countries and cultural backgrounds to practice martial arts together and exchange ideas with one another, deepening mutual understanding and respect for each other’s cultures through practice.
Currently, Zhou Tsz Shan Sam (Jeffrey) serves as President of the Committee. As a high school student, he actively promotes the Committee’s development while balancing his academic studies, organizing martial arts exchange activities on a regular basis. Participants include martial arts enthusiasts from China, Cyprus, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Through forms such as martial arts training, exchange experiences, and cultural sharing, a growing number of international youth are beginning to understand and love Chinese martial arts.
In terms of future development planning, the Committee will focus on advancing a number of martial arts exchange and promotion plans.
First, from 2025 to 2026, the Committee will successively organize martial arts culture sharing sessions, martial arts exhibition activities, and exchange lectures. Through cultural interpretation, interactive experiences, and live demonstration, these events will introduce the cultural spirit and historical connotation behind Chinese martial arts to more overseas youth.
Second, the Committee plans to continue carrying out martial arts experience and training activities in 2027, regularly organizing martial arts exchange courses, training camps, and experience activities in the European region, so that more international youth can personally engage with and learn Chinese martial arts and experience its fitness value and cultural charm.
At the same time, the Committee will actively expand international cooperation channels, planning to establish cooperative relationships with local schools, sports institutions, and cultural exchange organizations in the coming years to jointly carry out martial arts cultural exchange activities. It will gradually promote public welfare projects such as “Martial Arts into Schools” and “Martial Arts into Communities”, further expanding the influence of Chinese martial arts in the European region. The Committee will also gradually improve its membership system, attracting more martial arts enthusiasts from different countries to join and forming a diverse and international martial arts exchange community.
Looking ahead, the Committee will continue to grow its membership, gradually improve its constitution and organizational structure, and promote sports and cultural cooperation between China and Cyprus, and between China and Europe, through regular martial arts exchange activities.
The Committee hopes that through sustained efforts, martial arts exchanges will become an important link in promoting the development of China-Cyprus friendly relations, while contributing to health-related cultural exchanges and cooperation in public welfare. Zhou Tsz Shan Sam (Jeffrey) stated that he looks forward to moving forward with more like-minded friends, promoting martial arts cultural exchanges with firm and steady steps, so that this cross-border friendship can continue to grow and deepen.
